One of the best ways to experience a new culture or learn something new about an unfamiliar area is to live with people from that area. Homestay Man and Woman in Front of Homeallows international students and visitors to experience first hand Canadian living

Our host families are carefully screened and selected to ensure the best possible fit, depending on your individual homestay requirements.

Students living in a homestay environment find the overall educational and travel experience is enhanced through daily conversation and involvement with their host families. Homestay provides an environment that is safe and caring and your homestay family will help you to adjust to your new experience while in Canada.

Basic accommodation includes:

  • Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) or half board (breakfast and dinner) options;
  • Private bedroom with closet and student desk
  • Use of telephone (long distrance charges not included);
  • Use of in-house laundry facilities.

Older Man with Younger Man Basic homestay is our most popular option. Each year our staff place hundreds of individuals into homestays that offer basic homestay services. These homes are clean, comfortable and safe. The host families are friendly and helpful.

The basic homestay experience can be enhanced, however, by choosing to add premium homestay enhancements. Although not all the enhancements are always available during peak seasons, we have many families who make these available for the student's use.

Premium homestay enhancements include:

  • High Speed Internet - High speed internet access may be added for students with bring their own laptop or personal computer.

  • Proximity to School - Homestay accommodation is conveniently located within a 30 minute or single zone distance from school via public transportation.

  • Private Bathroom - Exclusive use of personal bathroom facilities, including shower or bath.

  • Custodial Guardianship Monitoring - Monthly monitoring and quarterly reporting on the progress of minor aged (15 - 17 years) students within school and the homestay.

  • Airport pick-up and delivery - Chauffeured transportation to the homestay and, if selected, back to Vancouver International Airport.
